4.)Melina defeated Maria
5.)Chris Masters & Kenny Dykstra defeated Ric Flair & Carlito
6.)Umaga, Armando Estrada, Coach & Johnny Nitro defeated WWE Champion John Cena by disqualification

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.Federline tries his luck against John Cena this week in a special no disqualification match. Cena was able to break free from an attempted full nelson, much like what Chris Masters does. Umaga ended up coming out and nailed Cena with the WWE Championship. Federline taunted Cena and the fans before picking up the tainted victory.
2.Backstage, Federline is celebrating his victory with Coach and Melina. Coach tells us that Cena will be competing again tonight in a handicap match against himself, Nitro, Estrada and Umaga.
3.JTG dropped Murdoch throat first across the top rope and that allowed Shad to cover Murdoch to give their team the win.
4.Rob Conway came out and told WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy that 2007 was going to be his year. He decided to announce that if he loses tonight he would quit RAW forever. Conway managed to kick Hardy in the midsection, but was then rolled up by Hardy. Yes, that was the entire match. Conway is gone from RAW.
5.Vince McMahon made his way out to the ring and shook Conway’s hand. McMahon started off saying that his new years resolution was to stop being nice. He talked about how Donald Trump wouldn’t out do him and mentioned his beef with Rosie O’Donnell. To the shock of no one, McMahon fired Conway.
6.Backstage, Todd Grisham is with Kenny Dykstra. Kenny thinks that Flair was trying to save himself from embarrassment last week when he wanted to shake his hand. Kenny believes he is the future of RAW. Kenny said that Flair’s career would die just like the lives of Saddam Hussein, James Brown, and Gerald Ford.
7.Shawn Michaels and Triple H made their way down to the ring to talk. HBK talks about how he and HHH had beaten everyone who claimed they were the future of the business. “They are either gone or they are jerking the curtains.” Michaels told Rated RKO that at New Years Resolution we would find out what it means to have a set of ball is and knowing what to do with them. HHH is mad that Edge and Orton didn’t show up this week. HHH recalls when the last time someone thought they had the advantage over them and how they were shoved up Big Show’s butt. HHH assures the fans that Orton and Edge will be left bloody and broken on Sunday.
8.Melina managed to roll Maria up to get a three count. After the match, Victoria came out and attacked Melina. Victoria tried to attack Lillian Garcia, but Mickie James ran out and saved the ring announcer from the Widows Peak.
9.Carlito dropped Kenny with a hurricanrana to open the match. Flair quickly tagged in and tried for a figure four on Masters, but Kenny saved his partner. Kenny came off the top rope to drop Carlito with a double ax handle. Masters entered and tossed Carlito over with a double under hook suplex. Masters continued to control the bout with a military press slam. Carlito fought back with a springboard back elbow. Flair chop blocked Masters as he had the Master Lock on Carlito. Flair got tagged in, and worked on Kenny with chops. Carlito and Masters brawled up the ramp way. Kenny is able to take Flair down in the corner and puts his feet on the ropes to pin Flair. After the match, Flair wanted Kenny to come back and finish it. However, Randy Orton and Edge ran into the ring and viciously attacked Flair. Orton dropped Flair with an RKO and Edge nailed Flair with the conchairto.
10.Cena knocked Umaga to the floor with a shoulder block. Nitro came from behind and hammered away on Cena. Cena battles back and sends him into the ring post. Umaga dropped Cena with a Samoa Drop but misses a bonzai drop attempt. Cena locked in the STFU on Umaga after dropping everyone in the corner. Cena ended up getting a chair and used it on Umaga to cause the disqualification. After the match, Nitro, Coach and Federline were all FU’d to close the show.

Final Thoughts:
Not a good show to start of 2007. I do like the idea of pushing Masters and Kenny as they are two of the better young guys in the company. HHH & HBK had a solid promo to promote their match with Rated Rko. The way they presented it would make you think it’s going to be a bloody one. The firing of Conway was ridiculous. I actually always thought Conway would be a solid heel for the WWE, but apparently I don’t know talented workers.

The whole Federline thing was kind of entertaining. Having Cena lose the way he did to K-Fed early in the show doesn’t hurt Cena, since Umaga was the main reason why he lost. If anything, it helps out their match buildup at the PPV.

This show gets a thumbs down from me.
