Matches:
1.)Hardcore Holly defeated CM Punk
2.)The Great Khali defeated Tommy Dreamer in a hardcore match
3.)Kevin Thorn defeated Shannon Moore
4.)ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Rob Van Dam by disqualification to retain the title

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.The opener sees Punk and Holly try to get a clear advantage early on, but neither man can get lasting offense. Holly controls Punk after hitting a middle rope leg drop. Punk fought back with a shoulder block off the ropes as well. Punk delivers several strikes but is caught by Holly when he looks to deliver a knee in the corner. Holly proceeds to send him shoulder first into the ring post. Holly hits the Alabama Slam to win the match. That is Punk’s first loss in ECW/WWE.

2.Backstage, Test refuses to go out and wrestle.

3.Elijah Burke is in the ring to issue a challenge to anyone in ECW. The Sandman is the man to answer the challenge. Sandman ends up whacking Burke over the head with his cane several times before Burke bails to the floor.

4.Dreamer tried his luck against Khali this week, but it didn’t work out. Dreamer did manage to hit Khali with a street sign a few times, and even hit Daivari with it as well. However, Khali recovered and lifted Dreamer up with his hands only to slam Dreamer down to the mat and wins the match rather easily.

5.Backstage, Rob Van Dam assures us that he cares about stuff. He is especially cares about having the ECW World Championship around his waist. So, he promises that tonight he will win the championship from Bobby Lashley.

6.Kevin Thorn takes care of Shannon Moore in under two minutes after hitting the Dark Kiss.

7.Lashley and RVD have a slow start to the match, as if it were a feeling out process despite the fact they wrestled last week. After a commercial break, things begin to pick up. Lashley delivers a spine buster and knocks RVD off the apron into the guard railing. RVD managed to avoid a spear and Lashley hit the turnbuckle. RVD hits a split legged moonsault for a near fall. RVD gets another near fall after a top rope kick. RVD manages to hit the Rolling Thunder moments later for a two count. They end up on the floor where RVD tried to hit his spinning kick on the announcers table, but Lashley moved and RVD instead hit the announcers table. Lashley hits a spear, snap suplex and a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley hits another spear, but Test ends up coming out to hit the champ with a chair, causing the end of the match. Test hits RVD with the chair as well as the show comes to an end.

Final Thoughts:
This was a better episode than last weeks. The opener was a decent match, though I was surprised that Punk’s first loss was to Hardcore Holly. It would look like Holly is going to be getting a larger push. Former mid-card guys like Holly and Test are getting main event roles in ECW. That’s just a weird thought. I liked the main event more last week, but this week just wasn’t entertaining. It was a better show and I’ll give it a very mild thumbs up this week.
