Surprisingly, I managed to get six out of the seven matches for Destination X correct. I wasn’t aware that Generation Me were having a special challenge match, so that doesn’t go against me. I did however get the Douglas Williams open challenge incorrect. I had never heard of his opponent, Mark Haskins or whatever it was. A pretty good start to these predictions, though.

World Wrestling Entertainment presents Money In The Bank this Sunday. You can view it on pay per view or as Austin Aries says “be a loser watching it via stream.” Here are my predictions for the event.

WWE Divas Championship: Kelly Kelly defends against Brie Bella

I simply don’t care for women’s matches. I’ll just say that Kelly retains the belt.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry

They are building Henry up as a beast, which they seem to do every two years or so only for him to return to comedy sketches. This feud has been mildly entertaining to me between two guys that have very little entertaining value to me nowadays. I fully expect Henry to come out top here and be involved in the Smackdown main event for the World Heavyweight Championship. May God have mercy on our souls.

Smackdown MITB Match: Justin Gabriel vs. Sheamus vs. Heath Slater vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Kane vs. Sin Cara vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett

Gabriel, Slater, and Bryan have zero chance of walking out the winner of the match so don’t even bother with those three. Kane is just floating around doing nothing it seems like and should fade away from wrestling. So, this leaves Cara, Rhodes, Barrett and Sheamus. If I’ve been reading the Smackdown spoilers correctly, Rhodes, Barrett and Sheamus have some kind of issue with Orton but the idea of MITB is to be able to have a title shot whenever they wish. I don’t believe Mr. Botch Cara will win this but he will be showcased. While Rhodes would be a fabulous pick and believe 2012 will see a Cody Rhodes title run, he doesn’t seem to be the guy to win this. I believe that Sheamus will win the MITB somehow.

RAW MITB Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. R-Truth vs. Jack Swagger vs. the Miz vs. Evan Bourne vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alex Riley vs. Kofi Kingston

Why isn’t Dolph Ziggler involved in this match? That doesn’t make a lot of sense. I think this is the easier of the two MITB matches to pick. Alberto Del Rio comes out on top here as it makes the most sense. Everyone in the match is feuding except for Del Rio, Swagger/Bourne feuding, Miz/Riley, Kofi/Ziggler, and Truth/Rey. Del Rio needs an angle and winning this match provides him with something to do until he wins the championship.

World Heavyweight Championship: Randy Orton defends against Christian

I don’t like the stipulation that Christian can win if there is bad refereeing. What if the referee makes a slow count but is normal to everyone else? What if the referee makes a fast count in Christian’s opinion but it’s normal to everyone else. I just don’t like the idea. I’m sure they will put on a good match as they have been doing that on a regular basis anyway. I expect Orton to go over Christian yet again and feuds with Henry leading into SummerSlam.

World Championship: John Cena defends against CM Punk
This is easily the most anticipated match in several years and it’s all thanks to CM Punk. Well, I’m sure some of the writers had some input on the feud, but who wants to credit them? I hope the Chicago crowd is rapid and they get 100% behind Punk because that will be enjoyable to watch. Remember One Night Stand 2006? I doubt it will be to that level, but it could have a similar feel. I wonder if Colt Cabana (HI COLT) will get involved in the contest since he will be there, but since he is an ROH talent technically I don’t see it happening. This should be an excellent match, but in the end Cena comes out on top and Punk leaves on a high note despite losing. Fans will be anxiously awaiting his return to the WWE.

There you have it, my pick for Money In The Bank. If you get the event, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for reading.
